Monterey Bay 21-28 Sept 2007

Two Short-tailed Shearwaters on 21 Sep were unusually early, and no others were seen off central California during the month. Ironically, the relatively short head projection means that this species often looks fairly long-tailed (short-necked shearwater might be a better name).
